What have you done to be brave recently?

I really struggled with whether to include this piece in And Ampersand. If I'm honest, I struggled with whether to write it at all.

Now, however, after having had a chance to explore what this story means to me—and knowing how this particular piece has been received—I'm so glad I pressed on.

Sometimes, after all, we have to be brave. Sometimes, we have to be vulnerable. Sometimes, we have to confront aspects of ourselves that we'd rather not—or that we didn't even know had been there all along.
